Herndon is a remarkably diverse community that enriches our recreational program and ultimately impacts our travel program. The Herndon travel program supports teams, based on their competitive level, in the following leagues: ECNL Regional League - Viriginia, EDP, and NCSL. In addition, Herndon is a partner club of VDA (Virginia Development Academy), forming VDA-North, to provide an elite pathway for players that develop in our Herndon Club to compete in the ECNL National League with VDA.
Our club takes great pride in cultivating home-grown talent, retaining many players who have found success on our travel teams since developing in the club at U4. The foundation of travel soccer is nurtured through the Recreational Program from U4-U6 and the Premier Program from U7-U8, with professional staff helping to foster a love of the game through fun and competitive development. Herndon pioneered these programs in the area when they first began in 2000, and they have grown tremendously in both numbers and professional methodology.
We have produced numerous state championship teams, competitive tournament champions and league champions. Countless players in our travel program have gone on to play college soccer, and quite uniquely, one former travel soccer standout currently plays in the NBA (Dallas Mavericks rookie Josh Reaves guard).
